Sensory Development Group

On the second Saturday in every month the Sunrise School has a Therapy group activity day. Children are welcome to come to work and play with other disabled children in the area. Occupational Therapist, Sally Roach, will be assessing and working with the children and together with Sunrise teaching staff will develop a therapy program to help our group with gross and fine motor skills, social skills, focusing skills and language skills. Children are grouped by disability and not by age.The first group day will be on 14th November 2009.

The Sunrise Walk

Currently Sunrise School is organising its second Sunrise Walk, (date to be confirmed) . We are looking for walkers, sponsors and donors to make this event as successful as possible.

Southern Cross Australia

We have 6 donated wheelchairs arriving in the next few weeks. These have been kindly donated by Chris and Ken Randle from Southern Cross Australia who received the chairs from the Wheelchairs for Kids Organisation in Perth. These will be distributed to disabled people in the local community. If you know of someone who needs a wheelchair please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
